* Mt. Namsan’s Cherry Blossoms and Forsythias The Namsan Circular Road, which connects the Namsan Library to Palgakjeong Pavilion and the National Theater in Jangchung-dong, offers a beautiful scenic route lined with forsythias, azaleas, and cherry blossoms. Despite its height of 262 meters above sea level, Mt. Namsan is a fairly easy walk.There are a variety of ways up the mountain; the most popular of which is the trail leading up from Namsan Library.
It’s only a 30-40 minute walk to ‘Palgakjeong Pavillion’ (the summit), but if you’re just interested in seeing the view from the top, take the cable car or the Namsan shuttle bus.
Cable cars operate from 10:00 to 23:00 and are 7,500 won roundtrip (6,000 won one-way) for visitors over the age of 13. Visitors under the age of 13 receive discounted prices of 5,000 won for a roundtrip ticket and 3,500 for one way. ☞ Transportation : To get to the Namsan Trail, walk 10 to 15 minutes from Exit #3 of Myeongdong Station (Subway Line 4). / To get to the Namsan Cable Cars, go out of Exit #3 of Myeongdong Station (Subway Line 4) and walk approximately 10 to 15 minutes towards the Pacific Hotel.Shuttle Bus Info: Take the yellow Namsan shuttle bus from in front of Exit #2 / Daehan Theater (๋ํ๊ทน์ฅ) at Chungmuro Station (Subway Line 3, 4), or from in front of Exit #6 of Dongguk Univ. Station (Subway Line 3). Buses depart every 6-10 minutes and run from 07:30 to 24:00.
